Here, I demonstrate how to use the Combobox Alpha List to help you take an order. When you noted the customer’s name, you didn’t write it down correctly making it difficult to find it in an ordinary combobox. This is where the Combobox Alpha List comes to the rescue, it allows you to search through the records with a custom search, with wildcards smith* *smith* *smith

Occasionally “Incorrect” records will get added to your database, making them practically impossible to find. That’s where the Combobox Alpha List comes into its own…

In this video I demonstrate another example of how the Combobox Alpha List Form can be used. In this example a customer has placed an order, however you’re in a rush! You wrote down “Crunchie bar Jess”, Dew, 10 boxes, tomorrow. But you forgot the phone number! You look at the Dee’s in the combobox but the name “Dew” it’s not there!

In this example the product name has been entered incorrectly. For some reason it’s been prefixed with a quote mark (“), making it next to impossible to find with a normal Combo-box. However the Combobox Alpha List Form, again, comes to your rescue. As you can see adding this product to your database will make order taking a lot easier for your staff, let alone being more accurate and timely…
